As we observe Pastor’s Appreciation Month, it’s only fitting that we pause to honor our very own Rev. Charles L. Webber. For two decades this year (2023) he has been the cornerstone of Mount Olive Baptist Church, guiding us through seasons of change with unwavering commitment and vision.
Rev. Webber is not just a pastor; he’s a community leader. Before his retirement, he served the City of Shelby, embodying the same values of hard work and integrity that he brings to our congregation. His life’s journey is a testament to the power of faith, and we are blessed to have him as our spiritual guide.
Behind every great man is an equally great woman, and Mrs. Audrey Webber is no exception. Her support and love have been instrumental in Rev. Webber’s ability to lead us. Their son, Adam Webber, stands as another testament to their family’s strong foundation.
Under Rev. Webber’s leadership, we are in the planning phase of building a new sanctuary—a monumental step forward for our church community. He has also taught us the importance of community engagement, reminding us that the church is not just a building but a living, breathing body of Christ.
As we celebrate his birthday and Pastor’s Appreciation Month, let us express our deepest gratitude for his years of selfless service. Rev. Webber, you are more than our pastor; you are a cherished member of our spiritual family. May God continue to bless you as you have blessed us.
